The Twentieth and Twenty-First Doodle

So if you go to http://www.harrietpulford.com/ you will see a nifty little animation with these doodles of mine, which is pretty blimmin' cool. That slider, I could play with it for hours!

This was a fun commission, I loved doing the futuristic Harriet! She wanted it sort of robotic, and when I started for some reason the steampunk robotic style suited it much more than a realistic type, like the Terminator or stuff like that. It just didn't quite look right till I tried that particular style with those rusty sort of colours, it seemed to gel much better. And she was very pleased with it, which helps!

The Thirteenth Doodle

'Watching Red' has definitely come from my obsessive love of fairy tales. I did a Little Red Riding Hood style painting last year and really enjoyed it, so wanted to try the same subject again in my developed style.

Got to admit I really enjoyed doing it. I wasn't quite sure what the end result would be like, but I was pretty blimmin' happy. It did take a while, but that was mostly me being fussy, and I liked experimenting with all the various pen thicknesses (oh my god I am such a geek).

If you look very closely at his eyes you can see a flicker of a reflection of a red cloak - she is clearly going to get eaten very soon.
